Kathmandu, July 27: An art exhibition of national and international artists is on at the Mithila Yen Art Gallery at the capital city’s tourist hub, Thamel.
The exhibition includes paintings of 28 artists of five different countries including Nepal. Nepali artists including Bijaya Maharjan, Ramesh Khanal, Ajit Shah, Jyoti Prakash BK, Mahesh Acharya, Rubi Karna, Shyam Sundar Yadav and Sapana Shah are showcasing 22 art works.
The paintings depict the Mithila art, religious sites, social life style, the Himalayas, landscape and women’s physiognomy. The art works’ price range from Rs 5,000 to 51,000.
Meanwhile, Optisoft Pvt has launched a website ‘artsansar.com’ with an aim to spread the Nepali art to the international market. The art works on display at the first phase at the ongoing exhibition have been made public in the website.
The website’s founder Rakesh Kumar Shah said the paintings of professional and hobbyists from across the country will be put on the website. The art exhibition which started on Tuesday will continue until Friday. RSS
