Pyuthan, July 27: Landslide has claimed seven more people in Pyuthan district today. With this, death toll from the landslide has reached 21.

Seven more people died after the landslide occurred at Phopli-6 swept away five houses on Tuesday night.
The deceased have been identified as Hari Bahadur KC, central committee member of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and his wife Bindu KC, Narayan KC, Dorna Bahadur KC and his wife Pabitra KC, Jaheshwor Budhathoki and his wife Pima Budhathoki, said police.
However, Nanumaiya KC, wife of Natayan KC, was rescued from the landslide.
Similarly, 13 people including Khaski Pun, Setuma Ptn, Sher Bahadur Pun and Kumari Pun of Phopli-3, who were swept away by landslide on Tuesday, are still missing. Police personnel and locals have been carrying out search operation for them.
Meanwhile, the district-based stakeholders and political parties have drawn attention of the Chief District Officer, citing no effective role in rescue and relief task from the district.
The parties and stakeholders drew the attention to this effect in the meeting of District Natural Disaster Rescue and Relief Committee held this morning, said Nepali Congress Pyuthan Secretary, Devendra Barma.
The meeting also decided to increase relief amount to Rs 5,000 from Rs 3,000, according to the District Administration Office. RSS
